London Triathlon 2010

Held once again in the ExCel Centre in London's docklands, the annual London Triathlon is taking place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August this summer. The London Triathlon is the largest triathlon in the world and attracts top athletes and sports personalities - last year Formula One's Jenson Button competed in the Olympic distance.

This years Triathlon is set to be another fantastic event!  Fancy a challenge?  Sign up to one of Africa Now's charity places and secure your spot in this years event!

There are a variety of races to choose from - something for everyone!

Choose the distance to suit you:

  • Super Sprint - 400m swim / 10k bike / 2.5k run
  • Sprint - 750m swim / 20k bike / 5k run
  • Olympic - 1500m swim / 40k bike / 10k run

(NB. In team relay events one participant swims, one cycles and one runs).

How does it work?

As part of Africa Now's 2010 London Triathlon team we ask individual participants to raise a minimum sponsorship of £600 and relay teams to raise a combined minimum sponsorship of £1200.  All participants are asked to pay a registration fee of £50 (which goes towards the cost of the place). Don't be put off by this your sponsorship target, this truly is an invigorating experience that is easy to promote to your supporters and we will give you a Fundraising Pack with lots of handy hints and tips to support you to make the most of your fundraising.
