What We Do
Ethical Business Services (EBS)

Development Projects
Kenya
Africa Now has been working in Kenya since the very first days of the organisation. The country programme remains Africa Now’s largest operation, working alongside rural communities, such as farmers, fisherfolk and horticulturalists supporting them to increase their household income.
Zambia
Zambia is one of the poorest countries in the world. Currently ranked 164th out of 182 countries in the United Nations Human Development Index, family income, education levels and life expectancy are among the very lowest in the world. Africa Now started working in Zambia in early 2007 with small-scale farmers; our projects are now benefiting over 6,000 people.
Zimbabwe
Over recent years the people of Zimbabwe have suffered the consequences of a prolonged political and economic crisis, which has turned a country that was once the “breadbasket” of Africa into one with one of the lowest life-expectancies in the world. Africa Now has worked in Zimbabwe supporting small-scale farmers and diary farmers to secure more stable-income earning opportunities.
Rwanda
Africa Now's Rwanda project was working with coffee producers and co-operatives to increase rural income through the production of high quality, Fairtrade coffee. The project established the most effective ways of strengthening their livelihoods and provides training activities to develop skills in business planning, credit management and speciality coffee cultivation.
Ethical Business Services (EBS)
Africa Now’s Ethical Business Services unit provides services to international companies sourcing from farms and factories across Africa wishing to ensure that the produce they sell is ethically sourced and traded. EBS also assists small-scale farmers to benefit from access to international markets through which they can improve their income.
